Designed for those who intend to become Radiation Safety Officers and others who desire the highest level of training. This is a forty hour course given over a full week. This course meets all of the requirements of the NRC and Agreement States for RSO training. Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate is awarded that can be used to apply to the appropriate agency for licensing.
The topics covered include: Basic Atomic Theory, Measurement & Monitoring Techniques, Biological Effects of Radiation, NRC Regulations, Tests Performed On Devices, Hands-on Work with Dosimeter and Other Instruments, Emergency Procedures, Proper Disposal Practices and Department of Transportation Regulations.
